Emotive, CHARACTER-LED DOCUMENTARY

In Kano, northern Nigeria, Samuel, 14, has experienced more than most children. At the age of seven, he became an orphan when his mother died. He found himself homeless, sleeping in abandoned buildings and trapped in a cycle of adversity. Trying to survive, one day he was caught stealing a mobile phone. He was arrested and incarcerated to await trial.

This film tells the story of Samuel’s journey to justice, from wandering the city’s dusty streets, to ending up behind bars. With the help of others however, he is finally able to walk free and realise his dream of learning welding.
