These cinematic, human-interest films were produced to promote the work of the EU-UN Spotlight Initiative. Reelmedia created a series of documentary films from the testimonies of five Spotlight Initiative beneficiaries in Uganda. Contributors were gender-based violence survivors, or activists working to eliminate violence against women and girls in their communities. Reelmedia planned the creative approach and narrative arc for each film, in close coordination with communication colleagues within UN Women.

Over a two-week period, films were shot using a gimbal, giving each shot movement and interest.
