The real
price of water.

1 X 2 MIN SOCIAL FILM

In drought-stricken Somalia, just 52% of the population has access to basic water supplies. As water sources dry up, some children walk up to 50 kilometres daily to collect water which is often contaminated with deadly diseases. With UNICEF, I created a hidden-camera social experiment video, challenging passersby with the question: “How far would you walk for water?”

Getting audiences to empathise with the plight of others isn’t always a straightforward task. I was given the challenge of developing a social experiment film that would invite audiences to connect with the realities of children in Somalia in finding water.

The result was a film that took members of the public, and the audience, through a series of twists and reveals, making it highly shareable on social media.
